Homeplanet of the Arachnids, Klendathu is is a dry and arid planet dotted by unusually primitive establishments the Arachnids are constructing. the entire planet is covered by the Arachnids, and it would be considered by most people to be suicidal to attack this planet. It has been done once before, with disaterous consequences.
